A new ground for me and my son and another to tick off the list.
By car and pretty straight forward bar the terrible weather in the South.
Lots of parking in city centre, parked in Kirkgate for ease and at £1.50 cant complain, busy getting out but no different to any city centre.
Good view of the pitch so can’t complain.
Good atmosphere, 16k crowd so felt more than a League 2 ground, drum was annoying as it felt forced, otherwise pretty decent.
Very easy.
Spent about £75
Yes, easy to find and easy to park and half decent stadium.
I go to all the away games and with the Dons chasing automatic promotion it meant we could put extra pressure on the teams above us.
Went by coach. An uneventful journey albeit very long as we had to travel during evening rush hour.
Took advantage of the Pie & Pint offer and whilst the pie was good, the pint wasn’t. I must remember to have just bottled beer in grounds as they don’t sell any beer in the days beforehand which means it goes off in the pipes. Also they only sold lager and cider but not bitter.
Plenty of room and very good views of the pitch and the rest of the ground.
On a wet Tuesday night it wasn’t great but watching your team lose 4-0 didn’t help.
8/10.
Coach was parked outside the exit and quickly underway although the traffic was heavy until we reached the motorway.
Spent about £65 and bearing in mind the distance involved it wasn’t bad.
Yes, definitely.
I chose to go to this game because i’m a Newport County season ticket holder so i wanted to go. I was looking forward to the game because Newport hadn’t won a game in a few, but so had Bradford.
We travelled up on the NCAFCSC (Newport County AFC Supporters Club) coach. We broke down just 4 miles from the ground and we had to wait for a fleet of taxis to pick us all up and take us to the ground. It was easy to find the away section as there were very nice stewards who showed us the way.
We didn’t go to a pub before the game however, we all went to the Bradford Arms after the game where we were escorted by police and we had to wait for our coach to pick us up. The atmosphere however in the stadium wasn’t as good as you’d think it would be for a ground with a big capacity. Despite the fact that only 14,000 fans turned up (including 350 Newport County fans).
I thought that the food and drink inside the ground was very overpriced. A pint of beer was £4.50 and sausage rolls were nearly £3/£4 per one. However, the people serving us were really nice and helpful.
The away end was good and our view of the game was top notch.
It wasn’t as good as what I expected.
I’d give the friendliness of the fans a 6/10.
It was easy as we had a police escort to the pub so we had no trouble.
On this away day I spent a total of £20.
I definitely would as it was a good experience overall.
