Plymouth Argyle

AWAY DAY REVIEW

Plymouth Argyle

Home Park (capacity 18,600)

Home Park, which is known as “The Theatre of Greens” by some as a parody of Manchester United’s “Theatre of Dreams”, has been home to Plymouth Argyle since they formed. However, the stadium has recently gone through a major transformation, and was selected as part of England’s 2018 World Cup bid.

In 2001, three stands were demolished and rebuilt. The Devonport and Barn Park Ends, along with the Lyndhurst Stand now have covered, all-seater, single tier stands which completely enclose the stadium on those three sides. The Grandstand side of the stadium has recently reopened after major redevelopment.

Away fans visiting Home Park are located in the Barn Park End. There is a typical allocation of around 1,300, though this can be increased if required.

If you are walking, exit the station and turn right and follow the road down the hill and under the railway bridge. Go straight on at the roundabout. Continue up Alma Road and turn right just before the Britannia Inn where you will be able to see the stadium. Alternatively, you can cut through Central Park by turning right off Alma Road.
